Things to do in Calangute, Baga & Candolim
- Water sports at Calangute and Baga (parasailing, jet ski, banana ride) · 2 h · about ₹1,500 per person. Operators sell packages on the sand; agree what is included and the ride lengths before paying. Rides stop when the red flag is up and through the monsoon.
- Fort Aguada and the lighthouse · 1.5 h · about ₹50 per person. The 17th-century Portuguese fort above Sinquerim has views over the Mandovi mouth; go late afternoon for the light, and avoid the midday heat.
- Grand Island boat trip with snorkelling · 6 h · about ₹1,800 per person. Boats leave from Sinquerim or Coco Beach with lunch included; visibility is best Dec–Mar. Check life jackets and the boat licence.
- Morning dolphin-spotting boat ride · 1.5 h · about ₹500 per person. Short boat rides from Sinquerim, Candolim or Baga; dolphins show most mornings in calm seas, but sightings are never guaranteed.
- Saturday Night Market at Arpora · 3 h · free. Runs on Saturday evenings in season (roughly Nov–Apr) with live music, food stalls and clothes; parking fills up early.
- Tito's Lane and Baga nightlife · 4 h · about ₹1,500 per person. Clubs often charge a cover redeemable against drinks; check couple and stag entry rules at the door. Agree a taxi back before you go in.
- Museum of Goa (MOG) at Pilerne · 1.5 h · about ₹300 per person. A contemporary art museum about 15 min inland; a good rainy-day or midday stop.
- Mapusa Friday market · 2 h · free. Goa's biggest local market fills on Friday mornings with chouriço sausages, spices, cashews and pottery.
- Candolim beach and shack lunch · 4 h · about ₹800 per person. Candolim is calmer than Baga; shacks usually let you use loungers if you order food. Swim between the lifeguard flags.
- Ayurvedic massage at a Candolim spa · 1.5 h · about ₹2,500 per person. Choose a spa with trained therapists and clear price lists over beach-side touts.
